My TV came with a 5 inch tablet remote control. It never worked properly and was more or less a gimmick. In a way I was happy when he died. A normal remote control does not work properly. I was pleasantly surprised. It works great right out of the box, as a bonus it works with my Vizio soundbar without any further setup. Something the original couldn't. I'm excited
