This is not a big cat tower, it is a small cat scratcher, and it does the job perfectly. I took it out of the box, put it down on the ground, and my cat and kitten both jumped on it immediately. They have chosen it to scratch over any other item in my home, which is awesome. I even stand it up against a wall, and they scratch vertically!Update: my kitten is now 2, and still snuggles up on this scratcher, and has scratched a hole right through it. but I don’t have the heart to throw it out because it is no longer in stock! So sad
