When I pulled it out of the bag, my first reaction was wow, what a great color and then immediately, what is this? 2 pieces of fabric sewn together? And then I put it on. it is really two pieces of fabric sewn together into pure and simple today's elegance.The fabric is stretchable cotton which could have affected the ability to dress up with this but it has a slight sheen to it that takes it from T-shirt fabric to dress up fabric. The dark red is simply gorgeous, I can't wait to accessorize with gold jewelry and figure out the best shoes for it.The large fits exactly as I would want it to. I can wear it with shapewear if I feel like hiding the little bulges or without if I don't care that day because it's not so tight as to accentuate imperfections.It would make a nice date dress, party dress or theater/show dress. because of the fabric and length I don't think it can move into more formal setting but for anything that requires a bit of chic and dressing up, it would definitely work.
