Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Munchkin Xtraguard Dual Action Multi Use Latches: A Comprehensive Safety Solution (2 Count) by Pop Henneghan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They stick and are strong, but don't use them for fancy things!

I bought another brand with an adjustable strap and it didn't fit my family so here's a replacement. These Munchkin fasteners work BEAUTIFUL. They lasted three weeks with a house full of kids and two adults who usually forget the fridge is closed and pull it when it's closed. No indication that it will fall apart or come loose! I love that both sides can be unlocked and that once unlocked it flips down instead of getting stuck in the open fridge door while an unsuspecting 7 year old wanders around thinking the fridge is closed when it's actually open . My smart two year old knows what to do to pick the lock, but he doesn't have the knack to pick it (small miracle). the last 11 years for all products: If possible, omit the latches and simply put the "safe" things in the base cabinets. Increase the detergents high. Unless your child is in danger of cutting off a finger or two from Lazy Susan's corner cabinet, I would NOT put them on top of your fancy cabinets or expensive furniture that you want to keep. When the glue works that well it will ruin your fancy cabinets/wood/painted surfaces unless you have 3 hours and all the patience to scrape that crap off when you no longer need it. Save these puppies for the fridge, trash can, or toiletโ€”surfaces should be smooth and non-porous. Put it on a crappy IKEA TV that you'll be throwing away in a year or three because your seven-year-old decided to doodle on it with an empty mechanical pencil on the last day of second grade. If you have good kitchen cabinets or you have a stingy landlord, invest in fancy magnetic locks.
