Actually better than any other CO alarm I could find. I bought this to replace another brand that seemed to still work but was no longer alarming when tested. As I was considering purchasing, I learned that most CO detectors will not alarm until the CO level reaches 100ppm and will remain at that level for a long time, often failing to report lower CO levels even if they are above have a digital display. These forensic detectors will alarm at 25ppm for 1 minute and display readings below 10ppm. It is important that I can control lower levels of CO than those that are harmful to an adult. I want to know before the carbon monoxide levels get dangerous and this detector does just that.
