VR is a "magic" thing! How did you take pictures before without it? In a "calm state", "handheld", at 18mm it is possible to remove for 1/2 second without lubrication. When focusing, the outer parts of the lens do not move. Personally, I have enough FR range in 99% of situations. Pros below: Universal FR range, high resolution across the entire FR and aperture range, VR, focus ring. Some cons: Geometric distortions on the DF <24mm<, XA on the entire range, with increasing DF slightly decrease. Everything is almost completely removed when converting from RAW.
