I soaked the stone in plain tap water for over an hour and even tapped it firmly (until it was completely submerged) against the side of the container to make sure there were no air bubbles left. The stone could be properly soaked. I then immediately hooked it up to my air line on a Whisper 10 air pump using standard non-silicone tubing and the results were disappointing. Perhaps a larger pump will be more efficient, but the rock is only 4 inches from the water surface, so there shouldn't be a problem pushing air the length of a long/deep column of water, which understandably would require higher pressure. volumetric air pump. Even after a few hours, the stone has not increased the bubble output, nor has the surface of the stone on which the bubble formed. The Pawfly stone just wasn't very good. Two stars at best. Received 2 packs of these based on previous brilliant reviews - now I'm stuck on inferior air vents. Please investigate!
