Heating out of order? - Aquarium Heater and Cooler
Worked fine for several months but somehow overheated and melted a bit. It left a pretty bad smell and I'm surprised my turtle wasn't electrocuted. I don't know how or why it happened but it still works but I definitely won't risk it. Maybe the one you bought was defective.
