These are just what I was looking for to wear under my scrubs. They have the feel of typical briefs but have the long legs of boxers. They are similar to my some of my husbands boxer briefs but without the pouch for items I dont have. They dont ride up and are not heavy like shorts. They are lightweight like wearing any other pair of underwear, just no wedgies. The seams are bulkier than I think they should be, but I only looked at it because of reading others reviews. I have not noticed it while wearing them as of yet. My jeans size is around 22 and I wear 3x in scrubs, I went with the 4xl because I like to put my stuff in dryer, I dont do gentle, handwash, or line dry. 3xl probably would have been fine, but I would buy the 4xl again just to have that shrinkage room. They do go over my belly button like a brief not like in the picture where they are sitting under belly button like a hipster style panty.
