If you're looking for something that will make your drawers look great when you open and close them, this product is NOT for you. These gates require a lot of initial force to open with a very noticeable release when the springs are charged for the soft close function. Each slide has two springs, I unhooked a spring on each slide to reduce that force, but it's still terrible. . Also, they don't slip like you would expect good ball bearing guides to, so I added a lot of grease to these guides at the end to loosen them up a bit. I debated returning them for a week and finally decided to keep them as my original drawer slides are in poor condition.
