Review on Akebono ACT1044 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic by Brian Nelson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You get what you pay for.

I first bought a set of these Akebono brake pads for my 2012 Ford Focus on May 2nd 2015, the car was 68k and I replaced the original pads. On August 4th 2020 I ordered my second set of pads for this car which is now priced at 119,000. Buy once, cry once. These pads were on brutal commutes of over 45 miles, one of which traveled through the Northeast and daily traffic. . Don't squeak, fade or leave brake dust on the wallpaper as long as Akebono continues to make them at this level of quality. I will never buy anyone else's brake pads, btw I mentioned they are made in the USA which is another plus in my view.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
