I got this from my basement when my pest inspector said I was starting to have moisture problems. After a bit of research I settled on this device and have been very happy with its performance so far. My floor is insulated and I can hear it working underneath, but it appears to be coming through the AC duct, it's more of a faint white noise and doesn't interfere. My particular underground setup doesn't have much space and it was difficult to get it in the middle of the house due to its size and weight. I would suggest a low profile furniture cart to set it up. When it was first installed it used almost 10 gallons a day. I would recommend purchasing a longer drain/pump hose as the hose in the box may not be long enough and possibly the length of the flexible exhaust duct to route dry air to an area that is not completely ventilated by the unit (house ) is covered. . it's more than 4 walls. Overall I was very happy with this device.
