The HP X27q Gaming Monitor has already changed the game. Going from a 21-inch 1080p (FHD)/60Hz screen to a 27-inch 1440p (QHD)/165Hz screen is amazing. More pixels not only give me more real estate on the screen, but it's also a lot smoother. The IPS panel with HDR also makes this screen much brighter and renders colors more accurately. The overall look and feel of this monitor is premium, with ultra-slim bezels and good height and tilt adjustment options. The size and viewing angles allow you to use it as a TV at times when watching streaming content. I've played several times and it's much more responsive than my previous monitor. Great buy and value for a premium feature set. For gaming, 1440p is a sweaty place as it delivers more FPS than 4k, which would be far more resource intensive, and personally on a 27-inch screen your eyes won't notice much of a difference in detail. Make sure you have a newer version of HDMI or DP installed on your PC to be able to use the 144/165Hz modes.
