You can put your fingers through the post where you can insert and remove the silicone. Then you can comfortably maneuver through the pan groves and not feel like cleaning a stack of mail. It cleans perfectly, you don't even have to pull it out of your mail. At a restaurant I worked at we use braided copper or aluminum brushes. This works almost as well but doesn't ruin the seasoning for a carbon steel or cast iron skillet. I paid full price. Ten bucks or whatever and my review will be honest.
