I am slightly embarrassed to say that I have a chunky overweight doggo because she and I snack hardcore 😬, so I was worried about fit. I have bought lots of harnesses from retailers like Walmart, Target, and Tractor Supply but none came close to fitting her or was cheaply made so they broke easily. As chunky as she is, Winchester aka Winnie, still makes our walks look like the opening scene of 101 Dalmatians. I am poor Roger getting drug along By the rambunctious Pongo as he scouts the park looking for Purdy. Winnie has broke at least 2 of the harnesses this way and makes it hard to actually walk her.I received this combo in size XL yesterday and immediately tried it out. There is plenty of room to adjust the stomach area and I had to take the neck in as much as I let out the back lol (like I said she is a chonky Brittany Spaniel). But I got it to fit perfectly and comfortably around her as some harnesses aren’t as big length wise from the collar. The leash is fantastic! I love the extra protection from the locking mechanism on the clip to make sure she doesn’t break the clasp when she eyes a squirrel and tries to chase it up a tree a hundred feet away lol. I also like the extra price on the leash handle that adjusts to fit the leash around my wrist so again she doesn’t jerk it out of my hand the second I think she calms down. We had a very successful walk. She tried to pull me along but I was able to keep her at a fair speed without choking her when I pulled back to slow her down.I totally loved it again today on our second walk (which I let my son hold the leash for a change). I also was able to tie her out on the stake with it clasped you front and she did a great job of not escaping or choking herself.I would recommend this product to anyone with a chonker who likes to pull hard on their leash. It’s well worth the money and I’m buying a second set to be sure I have one at home and in my car so we Can have many adventures!Very sturdy, durable, and made out of high quality materials. Solid 5 stars!
