These are the strongest magnets I have ever worked with. a bar blade to separate them, even with the plastic spacers included between the bars. Even after applying the double sided tape I decided to put them back together for storage. I was afraid to try to put them back together. because the magnetic field between the magnets was so strong that it would have crushed my fingers if I hadn't been careful. Now my concern is that the magnetic field will be stronger than sticking the double-sided tape. I don't think the double sided tape is strong enough to hold the magnets in place when something metallic is attached to it. Update: As I suspected, the double sided tape isn't nearly as strong as the magnets. After about 1 hour the item I was hanging with the new magnets fell to the ground as the tape peeled away from the surface it was attached to.
