I bought this to repaint an oak vanity when I realized how difficult it would be to replace the entire vanity. I read all the reviews and how to do it before making a purchase decision. So far at 3 weeks it seems to be holding up well even with dogs and a toddler who are rough with everything. The coating does not scratch, which I was very afraid of. I know you don't need to buy, I did a few prep steps before painting, I used a shine remover, then a sander, finally I used the recommended 300 grit sandpaper to prep the body. When that was all done I used a primer before painting. I used both a brush and a foam roller on the cabinet. You need to move slowly because small bubbles will appear as you draw. The only complaint I have, and I'm not sure if it's because of the paint, is that the side of the vanity is laminated chipboard and has some blisters towards the bottom from moisture in the paint. Next time I plan to do the whole kitchen.
