I thought I had found the perfect monitor for my needs and I really liked it. That is, until I noticed that all my text was a bit blurry on macOS, which was a big problem. I was able to fix this by turning off "High Dynamic Range" in the display settings, but that honestly eliminates the main reason I bought this monitor in the first place. When I received this set I was disappointed that I wouldn't be seeing any HDR content but decided I would continue to spend more time on it to fuel myself. Unfortunately, the nail in the coffin, particularly with the issue described above, was that when I viewed photos or edited them in Visual Studio's dark mode, the uneven gray was killer. It looks like a solid vertical line that's two to three inches dimmer in the center of the display. At maximum and minimum brightness it was obvious. At this point I decided to try a different monitor. Don't get me wrong, this display is fine as long as you don't intend to view HDR content on macOS. I don't know, maybe I just have a bad display with bad firmware. But the real killer for me was the jagged grayscale in the middle of the screen. Hope someone else has more success with their monitor.
