I received these tools to use with the Dyson v10 Absolute. The main tool I wanted was a mattress tool, I had most of what I needed, also the tools that came with this kit that I didn't have were a mattress tool, a hard bristle brush and a hose. After reading the reviews here, the hose seemed good to me. Today I tried the tools. What happened is I put the hose on the Dyson handpiece, it just went like it was made for it. I then started attaching tools to the end of the hose, I started with the mattress tool, it worked fine. With some of the tools included in the kit I had trouble putting the tool on and off, it didn't seem right to me, I had to force the tool on and it was much more difficult to take it off by force in an awkward position. That was true with the soft dusting brush and the hard bristle brush, it was to the point where I didn't even try to put on all the tools, I didn't want to force them or fight them. I had the same experience with the Dyson tools that came with the vacuum, I had to attach them to the end of the hose. As I said, the hose can be easily attached to the vacuum cleaner, but I had problems with the other end of the hose. I wanted to use a mini turbo tool with a hose but it was very difficult to put on and even harder to take off, won't try again. At first I thought it might be because I didn't line up the slot with the groove, although I had no problem with that using the Dyson tools that came with the vacuum. So I kept trying, trying to align the area with the part that fit in. Also, snapping the end of the hose onto the tool took some effort and the clicking was quite loud, unlike Dyson tools which snapped rather than onto the hose - again, some fitted easily while others were difficult to manipulate. My general opinion of the tools in the kit is good, I'm glad I have the mattress tool and the others might come in handy as backups and spares, but the hose didn't fit. either the tools provided or the Dyson tools, at least half in some cases. I bet 4 because I got what I wanted, not 5 because of problems. I think people who have other Dyson laptops don't fit my v10.
