This mount will not hold your phone to your bike on any terrain other than flat roads. This mount has two main design problems. First, how to attach it to the handlebar or stem. It's a simple piece of rubber that you open up to attach to your handlebar or stem, and it relies on friction to stay in place. If you have smaller bars there is a rubber insert that reduces the diameter of the mount. I used this mount on a hybrid bike handlebar that required an insert. It's an absolute pain to install a handlebar mount with a correctly aligned insert. I bought a road bike where the stem was the best place to mount and installation was easier as the stem diameter was big enough not to need an insert. However, it's just friction that keeps it in place, which is why you'll find your phone tilting to one side or the other as you ride over bumps. I recently bought a true clip mount that is much better than this mount. The second design flaw is the way the phone attaches to the mount. The mount only has two sides that press on the phone to hold it in place. Unfortunately, they tend to loosen while riding, especially over rough terrain. More than once they came loose so much that my phone took off and landed hard on the road after a bump. The headphone jack contains a strap that should prevent the phone from falling, but in my experience it's useless. Luckily I use tempered glass screen protectors and my phone is always in a good case so the only loss was the screen protector. In general, you're much better off with a different mount, and Revain has several options at this price point.
