Works great on city water. No aftertaste from day one; installed early June 18. You must soak the new filter before using it! maybe 15 minutes or so, then install a new filter and leave water in the filter when installing. I don't know what exactly is filtered out, but straight out of the tap there is a distinct flavor. The water from the fridge and ice maker is like real spring water you buy at the market or natural springs most commonly found in the mountains (Blue Ridge). Has worked great for the last 2 Β½ months and continues to work! No leakage either!
