Review on TP-Link TL-WN821N N300 USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter for PC, Compatible with Windows/Linux/Mac OS by Stanisaw Socha ᠌

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

Because I needed a longer USB extension cord, I had to go out and get one. These are some advantages: A connection that is both quick and stable, along with having a good speed. At a distance of ten meters from the router and after passing through two partitions, the speed is around sixty percent of what it would be with a cable connection. The adapter has a lifespan of 1 and a half years. Regarding the hardware, there have been no negative comments. These are some downsides: Important! Use the drivers that were released by TP-LINK on September 28, 2012, for the V4 version of the adapter in Windows 10. After each system update, Windows 10 will install its standard driver from the Microsoft supplier starting in 2022. This driver will replace the one that was provided by TP-LINK. When using a driver from Microsoft, the network does not function normally. Firstly, the signal strength is reduced, and secondly, the connection is lost after a few minutes of use. If you want normal operation after upgrading to Windows 10, you need to do the following: 1. remove the device from the task manager; 2. install the driver from TP-LINK; I downloaded the TL-WN821N V4 Utility from the official site; 3. select Repair when reinstalling the driver; 4. The fact that TP-LINK does not actively check how relevant their driver versions are is a strike against the company as a whole.
