The springs in my Carefree shed broke making it very difficult to install and remove. I saw this online and thought it would be easier than replacing the springs. This item works fine. It was pretty easy to install. Now I can simply turn the tent inside out manually with the telescopic handle. Please note that you need to buy the pen separately. The crank takes some strength to keep turning until the canopy is off, but I (a 60 year old female) was able to do it. The nice thing is that you can expand it even partially if you want. I haven't had it long enough to judge how long it will continue to work well. But so far so good.
