I watched a youtube video on this, the hardest part was the old solenoid spun freely when I tried to pull it out but it didn't , so I was able to take a big and long flathead screwdriver and get past the o-ring, it was a bear, but I persistently rocked the screwdriver back and forth until it popped out further, and then it was easy, the new one went in Be prepared to remove the poly V-belt from the power steering and the 3 bolts from the power steering pulley to allow the power steering pump to move to the side and make room for the solenoid to slide freely.
