Great tool. I work on so many cars that the hood supports have failed and will not support the hood. Lisle Hood Prop comes out and all is well. Another use for this tool is when the factory hood stay is preventing you from getting into the engine compartment. You can ditch the factory prop and use the Lisle hood prop that won't get in your way. Have you ever had to check the brake lights on a car? The Lisle Hood support works great. Simply slip one end onto the brake pedal and pull the other end towards the steering wheel and there it is, the handrail, acting as a brake pedal hold down. Now you don't have to grab someone to look at the brake lights. Need to open the hood further than the stock hood stay? Use the Lisle Hood Prop and stretch it all the way out to give you more access under the hood. It's a tool I use every day and worth every penny.
