I bought the camera a few months ago and it worked fine at first. After a few weeks I stopped taking pictures and complained about the low battery. I changed the batteries and after a few days he stopped shooting again and complained about the low battery. I changed the batteries and even played around with the picture and video settings to see if they were using battery power. In short, after about 5 weeks and changing 8 batteries several times, I immediately gave up the camera. Unfortunately, this debugging period caused me to exceed the return window, causing me to lose $$$. I thought maybe I just got a defective unit and ordered another one. After 1 week, the 2nd device stopped taking photos and signaled a low battery. After this epic, I sent the second device back with the battery. I swapped 32 AA batteries between the two devices and even ordered LiON AA batteries as recommended. With the first device purchased, LiON AA did not work at all after it kind of went downhill. Get insurance for this device if you want to play dice. I bought the camera because it was very expensive and I needed a cheap camera for a critical period. I needed an inexpensive camera as I was concerned it might be stolen due to its location. The recommendations were good and the price was right, but you get what you pay for.
