The update has completely stopped working now. Very poorly made item, do yourself a favor and spend the few bucks more for a quality one. So this is advertised as lcr and it seems some people have been able to measure the inductance. Only the one I have recognizes pnp and npn transistors and resistors. Even when I try to measure capacitors it says they are resistors. I ran a self-test/calibration with no changes. The inductors and capacitors are still read as resistors and when transistors are detected it says they are pnp when placed one way and npn when placed the opposite way, so it's not even very accurate. I have bought several counters of this type and have had very good luck with them. Not sure if they made any major changes or if this thing is absolute rubbish, not worth the time it took to buy it, very disappointed even. Also, the screen wasn't actually attached to the meter, and luckily the flimsy ribbon cable didn't break. There are much better ones out there for the same price.
