This unit is fairly reliable and works well. But the instructions are very bad. They are common to many tools and don't look like the image in this addon, but I managed to decipher them through trial and error. I also figured out how to use the "working stroke" as described in one of the images. This stroke represents the amount of compression the tool is trying to put on the rivet nut (rivet nut). Once I figure it out, it's a very nice feature. The instructions give you enough information to calculate the trip so you don't have to try to figure it out. This is how I calculate trips or collapses using the M5 as an example. The instructions state that for an M5 rivet the overall length (L) is 13mm, the flange thickness (k) is 1mm and the collapsed height (h) is 8mm. Suppose the sheet metal into which the rivet nut was to be installed was 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) thick; metal thickness) = 2.4mm So I just set the tool head to 2.4 (or best I can) on the gauge.
