I've had this mic since late 2016 and have had to have it repaired under warranty twice since then. This after using it in less than 10 projects. The first time it was a faulty power switch and the second time it was a broken wire. I use this microphone with my Canon EOS Rebel T6i DSLR. This mic generates quite a bit of static electricity (which can easily be removed in editing software). It attaches well to the top of my camera, but the connection can come loose if you're not careful. Many people have this mic and I have found many instances of the same static issue. Pretty much the only solutions require some audio equipment. Only buy this microphone if you are disappointed. For now, I'm only keeping it because it's so much better than the camera's built-in mic. ), so there is something to consider. But I don't know if that's typical for something like this.
