Only two complaints about this product. In the beginning it was quite expensive, but lately everything has become more expensive. My father uses Kiev Post. It is a very hard wood that will last a long time and not rot for long, and it does not need painting. I think they call it iMesquite in the States. The jig has to be a little thicker or something because it only goes about two-thirds into the wood and then it starts to bend. My dad is such a good old cowboy that when he just looked at the nail he said it wouldn't work and that's not what he wanted, but he took them anyway because sometimes you have mail that's a bit is softer than it comes in. So the nail is generally good, but not good enough for high quality hardwood.
