I bought this to weave fake braids into my hair. This is exactly what I was looking for: an elastic material similar to silicone that does not dissolve under the influence of oils. I have since braided my own braids and used them on my natural hair and even with the product on my hair they stay strong. They don't tear easily, which is good! To get them out I would suggest a small pair of scissors, or once they've been sitting for about a month you can break them off with your fingers. You stretch so well! You can pull on them when trying to make an extra loop around the braid and they won't break. I will buy them and only them for every hairstyle I need elastics for!
