to work and eat in bed while recovering from a long illness. I was hoping it would be functional, but I like it a lot more than I expected. I use it at a slight angle to work with my laptop (with and without an external mouse). I use it in a very upright position to watch movies on my iPad. My kids use it on the bed and on the floor to do schoolwork. I bring my husband tea on it in the morning, etc. etc. The drawer is convenient for storing pencil, pen, eraser or other small tools when doing crafts. It's comfortable in bed or on the floor with your legs stretched out. I also often use it in a chair with folded legs. I'm not sure I would be *quite* excited about a lap table if the pandemic hadn't changed throughout 2020 and I hadn't gotten sick for most of the year. But with two parents and two kids working from home for 10 months it was great. My only regret is that at the beginning of the pandemic I bought a large L-shaped desk for my children's "school zone" which used to be our living room. I should have saved my money, moved less furniture and bought two more of these. I can still buy one. "Normal" is still a few months away, and this thing is super comfortable. It also looks beautiful.
