I have a lot of jewelry and it was time to buy a house. These are mostly glass, fine lampwork or other unique handcrafted jewelry and I looked at many jewelry boxes before settling on this one. I don't usually get anything that can be described as "girly" and my first impulse was to buy black, but then I settled on white with a pink lining. It's perfect. In fact, I liked the first one so much that I bought another one. They are well made and look very nice when closed; then you open them and a beautiful pink color appears. I like looking at it :-D It has many compartments and hooks for hanging necklaces. One of my favorite features is the very deep bottom compartment. Sometimes I don't want to take something out of a cardboard or velvet box, so I hide it in a drawer, box and all. Wide bracelets also fit. While there are latches to keep the necklace sections closed, there's nothing to keep the drawers from sliding forward if the box is accidentally tipped over, but they fit snugly and won't slide. A little caution and they won't fly. My only wish is for this box to be even taller, wider and deeper, with more drawers, including one (or two) specifically for large brooches. However, the ring bars on the top layer are great for holding multiple brooches if you insert the pins between the grooves. When not wearing rings, the entire section can be removed to create an area without dividers. The deleted partition can still be used outside the box. Not the cheapest purchase I've ever made, but definitely one of the best.
