Good, light jacket for moderately cold temperatures

Starter boys' insulated, breathable jacket is a good choice! I have the medium size which is an 8-10 for my eight year old son and it fits him quite well with room to grow. This jacket is a base color, solid black with the Starter logo in the upper right front corner. It has two outside pockets and one inside pocket. Each pocket closes with a zipper. There's a basic hood in the sense that it is, and there's no drawstring or anything to make it tighter around the head. The sleeves have elasticated cuffs to keep out the cold. The jacket is not that heavy but feels very light. Takes up very little space when hung or stored in a suitcase. However, the weight doesn't mean it's not warm. It provides sufficient warmth, ideal for mild winter temperatures. When it's cold outside, there's also plenty of room inside to wear heavier clothing like sweatshirts without being bulky or restricting movement. This waterproof jacket is great for us here in the North West where we get a lot of rain at this time of year. I even see my son wearing it all year round when we visit the coast which is always chilly. the end. The inside pocket is a nice addition. This is a great place to keep important things like keys or money. The pocket is not big enough for a cell phone. Machine washable in cold water and tumble dry low. The jacket never actually gets dirty and the outer material can be easily wiped off if it does. My son loves this jacket which says a lot as he can be picky about clothes. It's good enough for a casual or more dressy occasion as it's solid black and has a fitted neckline that gives a polished look. I like that it comes in different colors and that the size can last another year. Featured!
