Review on πŸ’¦ WAYNE CDU1000 1 HP Submersible Sump Pump - Cast Iron & Stainless Steel Construction with Integrated Vertical Float Switch - 58321-WYN2 by David Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's quiet, but the cord is too short and it's not good that the switch is hardwired/unmodified.

. The pump is a quiet cord (submersible pump I had) and required me to move the outlet closer to the sump. I also don't like that the switch is built in or "hardwired" to the pump. While some may like that there is only one wire coming out of the pump, I always prefer to use a better quality switch over the standard switches that come with pumps. The stock float switch that comes with this pump is not strong enough to overcome the flow of water into my sump, so the pump was not working properly. I had to add a "shield" to protect the pump switch from the water flow. Also, they recommend replacing the float switch with a new one every two years, which you have to buy from them for too much money. Of course, not using the switch will void the warranty.

Pros
  • . Beautiful packaging.
Cons
  • . Minor issues.
