When I received it, I dabbed a bit on a sample piece of wood and it has far too much red. I know they say color can vary with different woods, but it's far too light and red for my usage. When I first applied it, while damp, my first thought was barn red. Then it dried to a lighter shade, but still too red. Didn't remotely resemble the square on the bottle on the website. I wish that manufacturers and sellers would give folks a vivid description of the color/variations folks can expect. Also, perhaps name the stains something that folks typically see and can relate to. All that being said, it appears to be a quality product and if I was looking for this particular color, it would be a great product to use. I think I'll try finding a cheap color mat
