I bought this foot for my Janome 6600 sewing machine for machine quilting in the trench. It took me a while to stay properly in the ditch, but after quilting a queen size blanket I got the hang of it. This foot definitely helps move the layers more evenly than the regular foot. After using this sewing foot on two quilts, I settled on the Acufeed Ditch quilting foot. I'm halfway through my first quilt using the Ditch foot, and for now I prefer the Acufeed open toe foot because it offers better seam line visibility. The ditch's leg casts a shadow, making it difficult to keep the Dark Conductor right in the ditch. When using the Acufeed Ditch Quilting Foot make sure you have a good light behind you to illuminate the sewing area. Overall I love my Janome machine and its attachments.
