The holster has a clip like all other similar designs on the market. The clip hooks onto the plastic tab on the side of the phone cover like any other similar design on the market. The phone cover has clip grooves on both sides so the phone can be holstered. BUT, the indents are not symmetrical. The phone CANNOT be attached to the case in all 4 possible configurations. 2 only. This is unlike any other designs available in the market. I believe this is a design flaw that passed the test. I will come back for a refund and order another device.
