These taught my son the ABCs before he was 18 months old. We bought these at about 12 months and would entertain him while he ate. They are made of a nice thick glossy carboard, are 2 sided, and are secured by a plastic ring which is handy to swing and flip the next card while shoveling a spoon at a toddler. Now at 2 years old, we can randomly flip cards, and he calls out the letter and the animal represented. We liked then so much we have bought them as gifts for other family members and friends.
