Holds 11 pounds upside down!

I asked how much weight it can hold on the head. Nobody knew but I ordered one and luckily I have a scale and enough tools to measure it. I will publish my scientific discoveries here for future generations. For context, I want to use this magnet to attach a PC monitor to an adjustable arm. Turned upside down, this magnet held my 7 lb monitor with no problem. I tried harder until he passed out at 11 pounds. If you're careful, the magnet barely holds this 7-pound, 24-inch monitor at any viewing angle (the screen is perpendicular to the floor) in landscape or portrait mode. However, holding the monitor to adjust, tilt, or rotate it may cause the device to slip. Remember that the wider your device, the more weight will be off the center of the magnet and the more leverage you'll create when moving it. I tried to measure how much force it can withstand. at 90 degrees by pulling on the ball attached to the plate, but that still created some leverage so that wasn't the true strength of this 90 degree magnet. It held up to 6 pounds on the strong side and 3, 5 pounds on the weak side. The long side has more grip, plan accordingly. If I really wanted to use this magnet to attach this large monitor, I would combine three of them. Luckily this is just a test, the monitor I received in the mail is 15 inches and weighs 2 pounds. so a magnet should hold it well. What else I learned: - Magnets don't hurt. modern screens. The Ram B sized balls are barely strong enough to hold this monitor up unless it's standing up and down straight. The hand should be as tight as possible. I was able to remove the metal plate and adhesive from the monitor with a knife. But at the same time I bent the plate. It is necessary to order a plate of the same size with new glue. A thicker plate, maybe 1/8 inch, would be stronger.
