After four years of camping I've made some improvements including raising the bed. The package includes 2" wood screws to attach the wood block for the top bracket to the plywood that the bed rests on. The bolts go through so I got some bolts and nuts so there was just a round bolt head under the bed. I had to reinforce the frame where the bottom bracket was attached, but that's not the kit's fault. I also added an aluminum L bracket to the underside of the bed edge since it was just plywood and bent between the two posts. This is a great upgrade but the price of this kit is overpriced compared to what came in the kit.
