Review on Enhance Your Blade's Edge with CWINDY Sharpening Whetstones - Includes Flatting for Optimal Results by Ryan Larson

Very good set to start with

I have used a 3 row Smith blade for many years but have always had trouble setting the edge geometry of my blades with these hard Arkansas stones. So I decided to play and try these out. This kit comes with everything you need and is practically ready to use after a soak of about 10 minutes. These stones have a very nice texture and it is much easier to feel the edge alignment on them. They come with a lovely bamboo mounting block and are boxed for easy safe keeping in the box they come in which is a nice touch. Learning how to sharpen blades on a whetstone is one of those skills that takes time to master. This set comes with a ceramic guide that goes fairly well with a chef's knife or larger blades. However, you still have to learn how to sharpen pocket knives, paring knives and chisels by hand. In this price range I think this is a great product to start with. Just remember to smooth out your rocks with the included correction block or you'll end up making pools in the middle. In fact, this tool is another added value. Many brick sets allow you to use a leveling tool such as a leveling tool. B. buy a diamond plate separately from the set. This set gives you everything except a bucket of tap water to soak them in.
