I like the plaid. I bought these sheets to be like the blankets we had for years but eventually wore out and I threw them away. Eddie Bauer is a good brand and the price was right so I had no hesitation in ordering these sheets. I washed them and waited until Christmas week before putting them on our bed. They were so soft and cuddly. A warm welcome on cold nights. A week later I washed them again. HUGE disappointment hit me when remodeling the bed. Every place our bodies came into contact with the sheets, including the pillowcases, was extremely covered in pills. The once-soft fabric has become rough, rough, and sandpaper-like. Our perennial flannel set never got a single tablet. Never! See attached photo. I have never been so disappointed with the fabric of any product I have ever purchased. I would like a full refund of $64.22 ($59.88 + $4.34 tax) without the hassle of returning sheets. It is difficult to file a complaint. They no longer lie on our bed waiting to be thrown away. I don't have spare flannel sheets yet, so we have to endure cold, warm weather until new flannel sheets are bought.
