I have a 2" Curt hitch and used it. The foam pad is too thick. I had to cut it with a sharp knife. I would understand if I bought a different towbar, but both are Curt products. You should include 2 foam pads in the box to ensure a proper fit. You don't want this product inside without a pad. it will bounce and rumble. You can attach it to the existing gasket but it would require a lot of pressure on the clutch cover and I don't know how to get it off. Look, Kurt is a quality product and I'm glad I chose this brand, but it's either laziness or poor quality assurance. Get this repaired Curt and offer a seal replacement. Then I increase it to 5 stars
