Review on πŸ”« 6500N Glue Gun Stand: Non-Stick Pad Included for Effective Glue Gun Storage by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cheaply made but not bad with a little tweaking

This product isn't bad, but it's not perfect. It consists of two parts: a round base and a small holder that fits into a slot in the base. The non-stick pad is a thin, flexible plastic disc with four small pins that go through holes in the base to hold it in place (it comes pre-assembled). The stand is too light to hold a glue gun alone, but has a screw hole so you can screw it to any work surface. Aside from that, you can do what a lot of other people have suggested and stick pennies on the bottom to make it heavier. That's what I chose and it works great. However, this product is very cheaply made and even a little ugly as a result. The base and arm are one-sided, poorly molded plastic and no work has been done to clean up the rough edges. I don't really have a problem with the underside of the base being unfinished and rough, but the hand is showing and that's just as bad. It was quick and easy to clean up the edges with a razor blade and sandpaper, but would have been nice if it wasn't such a bad mold/cut in the first place. Overall I think it works for what it is. . It was $3 with free shipping (as an extra), so that's the only price you can complain about. But I also feel like I could make something from scratch that I would be happier with, for about the same price and with less effort.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I'll add later

Add pennies to keep it in place
