Review on TYC 610850 Honda Odyssey Condenser Cooling ๐Ÿ”ง Fan Assembly: Reliable Replacement for Optimal Cooling Performance by Jermaine Munajj

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Meh, it works, though. best in sets

Took this for my 2008 Odyssey to replace the condenser fan (passenger side). Technically the bolts fit, but not exactly. The shape of the metal fan bracket is not flush with the heatsink. So there is a gap at the top. It's okay as there is a plastic lid, but it should fit snugly. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the fan itself. This fan doesn't move the same volume of air as a standard fan/motor, mainly due to fan speed. It spins slower. This results in the air conditioning not blowing as cold as it should or could, especially when the van is stopped at traffic lights. Also, the skid plate on the back of the fan motor is fairly cheap standard metal. Generally it will work, but it is not an OEM replacement. I expect to have to replace this part again next year or so. Installing on Odyssey is tedious but easy. Firing from the front is a lot easier than trying to pull it through the battery section like the repair manual recommends. And don't forget to buy extra plastic clips for mounting!
