Review on Sacroiliac Support SI Loc Hip Belt - Small/Medium - Men and Women's Lumbar Lower Back Joint Pelvic Posture Support by Mark Loebis

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not exactly an SI belt.

This belt is not suitable for the Sacroiliac (SI) belt. More of a lumbar support. The belt is 4 inches wide. The SI belt is more like 2.5 or 3 inches long because it needs to be low on the hips where your body bends to pull through the SI joints. This belt creases when you bend forward, putting pressure on your bladder and creating wrinkles on your skin. The small/medium body is 41 inches long, but you'll need to grab each end to tighten it, so trim 2-3 inches from each end to fit. The velcro tab is sewn (crooked) to a short length of elastic sewn to the body of the belt. Not ergonomic to put on. Some straps use a loop for retraction, but this approach with a simple strap that just overlaps can work, for example Serola. The lining is short-pile fleece, as opposed to the grippy finishes (like silicone or urethane) that SI wearers use to keep them from sliding toward the waist. This is especially important if you wear the belt over your clothes so it doesn't touch your skin and can be used more than once between washes. I've been wearing the SI belt every waking minute for the past 20 years. This thing made me ache just looking at it.
