Review on 1996-1999 GMC C/K1500/2500/3500 (3-Door) Auto Ventshade [AVS] Stepshield Black, 3 Pc 90924 by Scott Wallace

I installed the 1996-1999 GMC C/K1500/2500/3500 (3-Door) Auto Ventshade [AVS] Stepshield Black, 3 Pc 90924 on my truck and initially loved the way it looked. The sleek black design really elevated my trusty old workhorse into a sleek, futuristic machine. The AVS Stepshield also provided great protection against the elements, keeping rain, snow, and mud from building up on my truck's vulnerable step areas. The added traction was also a nice bonus, especially when wearing slippery work boots. However, after a few months of use, I did notice some downsides. The Stepshield started to show signs of wear and tear, including some fraying and discoloration. The adhesive also wasn't as strong as I would have hoped, with the Stepshield starting to peel off in some spots. Overall, the AVS Stepshield is a decent product that offers both style and function. However, it could use some improvements in terms of durability and adhesion. Three stars out of five.
