Easy install on my bayliner 215 deck boat. Bought an in hull converter. Check for correct placement before gluing with epoxy. I cut the bottom of a plastic container the same diameter as the transducer. I washed the spot where I was going with detergent and acetone. Packed in a plastic container with silicone. After drying, I covered the bottom of the transducer with petroleum jelly, about 1 inch thick. Place the container on the bottom of the boat and rotate it back and forth to dislodge any air bubbles. Better to make sure the point works the way it does than dig up the epoxy sensor to move it. I have a fish finder that operates at 15-20 mph. So it's a double defense against sandbars. So far it's very accurate. Advice from someone who had to wash beach sand out of my cabin and two thermostats. NEVER GO OUT WITHOUT ONE!
