Have used them since the 70's and they have always worked flawlessly. Some reviewers called these smaller versions underpowered, but I find them just as solid and well built as their larger counterparts. Contrary to claims that these wrenches are zinc plated, they are actually hard chrome plated. Electroplating is a much cheaper finish commonly used on metal trash cans - the Vise Grip finish is much more durable. Another very important note: the last Vise Grip I bought was made in Taiwan and these people make really great products. There was a time in the '70s and '80s when "Made in Taiwan" was something to avoid, but not now. While the "Made in China" rush (which began in the 1990s) shut down many Taiwanese factories, the surviving factories are now producing world-class goods. I wholeheartedly recommend any of their products.
